So, this is the second week back from break and I'm loving life here at Houghton College. The weather these past couple days has been wonderful, and I have had so much fun with everything. Last week was SUPER busy, but still a really great week. I lifeguarded a lot! A total of 9 hours. YIKES. But get money get paid ya know? ;) My Koinonia team lead worship this past Sunday, so we had rehearsals for that all week. Thursday was an especially great day, because it ended with a random/sporadic trip to Letchworth Park. I went with 4 of my friends- Jody, Nick, Nate and Josh. It was so fun. It was really dark because there were almost no lights on, but it was SO beautiful because we could see all of the stars. It was amazing. We joked around for a while. All of my friends scared me AT LEAST 5 times. Haha...We took a bunch of pictures. Then we all sat down, right near the falls, and sang worship songs together. Awesome thing right? Then we prayed together and then went home. I am SO grateful for these friends of mine. I really love them, and I know God placed them all into my life.
Friday was great too- Josh and I ran 5 miles together AND did Insanity, which is a crazy work out video. :) I was proud of him for surviving the day with me. Haha. I also lifeguarded a total of 4 hours which was exhausting.
The weekend came around and my friend Katelynn came up to stay the weekend with me! :) It was SOOOO great to see her and hang with her. :) Love you girl. I felt bad because I was so busy while she was here, but we has so much fun. We enjoyed Houghton Palooza on Saturday, which was a huge music fest of all of these Houghton bands. Then after that we went to Timmy Hos with some friends which was BOMB. Sunday was filled with Koin preparation and homework, which was OK. I finished my LAST essay EVER for WILA(Writing In the Liberal Arts) while we all watched The Blind Side. SUCH a great movie. Sorry for all of the CAPS... :/ I'm feelin' them today, OK?
Monday came all too quickly- with classes ALLLLLL day long. But it was so beautiful out I didn't even mind. I hung with Katelynn, got Windows 7 installed on my laptop, which is now SUPER legit. Love it. Mmmmmm yes. Drove Katelynn home, stopped at my house, saw my family<3 I also enjoyed being serenaded, while showering, by Kate and Anna as they sang to me sweet songs with the Ukulele. I LOVE MY FRIENDS. I don't say it enough, but I do!! :) Thanks guys! It was such a busy day, but such a good one.
As far as today goes, it has been so nice. I got to sleep until 9:30 which is pretty late for my schedule. I had a voice lesson which went very well. I worked out, and went to my class at 1. After that, my friend and I went on a bike ride that pretty much made my day. It was so nice out, and I forgot how much I love riding bikes. Thereafter I hung out with my friends on the grass, played cards, talked and joked. :) I had free time today which I loved. I am getting so excited about next semester because I know I will have so much free time like I did today. And now it's extremely late...and I have an 8AM tomorrow. Shoot...
