Something I've Noticed Lately...

Is that I am always content WHERE I AM. Like physically. I'll explain.

This past year, when I was at college- I LOVED being there. I wouldn't want to go home. But when I did, I loved being home and I didn't want to go back to school. This past week I was a leader at Younglife Camp- which was incredible. I will have to blog separately about that! But I was really excited about camp before hand. We were there for a week. And I didn't want to leave at all. But when I got home, I was glad to be home. It's a strange thing, but I think it's a gift from God. Because some people are always not comfortable where they are.

Also- something else I've noticed. My fear for a long time has been getting older- having more responsibility- being on my own- stuff like that. But I think I've realized that I'm always content whatever age I am. I remember being 15- and LOVING being 15. And it just kept going. I remember last year when I was 18, and I loved it. Now I'm 19, and I love being 19. I'm hoping and praying that that will continue to when I get older. I'm so tired of hearing people that are older then me say "Oh to be young again". Your in your season of life for a reason. Enjoy it while you have it, and don't spend all of your time wishing you were younger. Wishing you were someplace you aren't.

I am thankful to be 19. I love being home. I love summer. July 19th meets me well.

Are you content where you are?

  1. It was very refreshing reading this blog Emmi :) I have been striving to be content where I am at. So often when we are younger we can't wait to be 18 and when we are older we always want to be young again. I just had this conversation with a friend the other day so it is awesome see others that are thinking the same thing :)
