Weekend in Emmi World

So this weekend has been delightful! Friday I had classes in the morning, then I went for a run (perfect weather for it) and got ready to leave. Then my loving sister Mal came and picked me up from school and we went to babysit for the night. The 3 little kids I watch are just the cutest :) I've been watching them forever! I've watched the oldest 2 grow up, and the youngest one be brought up and fit right in as the new baby :) I love them. That night was fun! We played games with them, watched a movie, and hung out. I also got to spend time with Mal the whole time too, which was FANtastic. I love her with my whole heart! After our night with the children, we drove home and spent MOST of the night talking and talking and talking :) Not much sleep involved at all. We did get to sleep in the next day though, which was awesome. We had a slow morning, where we made toast and watched TV, and hung out. Then when it was later in the afternoon, we got ready, and went to a movie, and dinner with some of our friends! A bunch of my younglife girls actually, and then some :) It was so fun! Much needed! After dinner, my Dad took the 45 minute drive with me back to Houghton, which was fun because we got to catch up and he showed me the latest CD project hes been working on. Once we got back to school, I showed him my room for the first time! :) Much fun. Then we enjoyed some Java drinks and chatted more. After, he left and I went to my room and unpacked my things and chilled out! I was EXHAUSTED! I went to bed relatively early (for a Saturday night). This morning I went to church, and heard one of my best friends sing and play for special music. Love it! After church, me and some girlies went to the dollar store and the jube and stocked up on goodies! :) Some of which I am enjoying right as we speak...(I made lunch for myself. MMmmmmm.

As for the rest of the day, I am thinking about napping, then getting up, doing some laundry, working on some homework, maybe catching up with a friend in Java, practicing with Matt Vogan for our coffee house on Tuesday! WOHOO. And then Koin is later! What a good day!

Let this sink in...

"The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice. Yes, and I will continue to rejoice,19 for I know that through your prayers and the help given by the Spirit of Jesus Christ, what has happened to me will turn out for my deliverance.20 I eagerly expect and hope that I will in no way be ashamed, but will have sufficient courage so that now as always Christ will be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death.21 For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain."

-Philippians 1:18-21

Enjoy yourself in the Lord!
